Each STI has a different window period. This means the amount of time you have to wait before the STI can be detected by a test.
Chlamydia and gonorrhoea can take over 2 weeks to show up; syphilis 12 weeks; and HIV 4-12 weeks.
There's no need to book a face-to-face appointment to discuss this first as we can talk to you about your options over the phone, tell you the pros & cons and take consent. We'll then simply book you an appointment to come in for the procedure.
