Here's some information about Pain or bleeding:

For women, changes in your bleeding pattern are very common, particularly on certain types of contraception (see Implants, Injections and The Pill; especially the progestogen-only or mini-pill), and pain at a regular point in your cycle may be normal.

Pain or bleeding can also be caused by infection, especially if you’re under 25 (chlamydia or gonorrhoea) or you've had a sexual risk e.g. change in partner or unprotected sex.

Please call 0113 843 4495 to book an appointment. Our phone lines are open Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm (excluding bank holidays). You can also use our live chat function.

With unusual pain and bleeding it’s important to rule out infections and check a pregnancy test via your GP or visiting the clinic. You can get advice on bleeding linked to contraception too.
