Fastest for people living in Leeds (Terrence Higgins Trust)
Oxford Chambers– No appointment needed

ONLY OPEN MONDAYS 4-8 pm AND THURSDAY’S 4-8pm

A walk-in, non-appointment testing service people living in Leeds who may be at risk of poor sexual health held on Monday’s 4-8pm and Thursdays 4 -8pm. (first registration starts at 3:45 and finishes at 7:00pm)

You can be tested for HIV, Hepatitis B & C, Gonorrhoea, Syphilis, and Chlamydia. You’ll receive counselling and information before and after the test. Test results are available within an hour (for HIV) or within the next few days (for other STIs).

We can treat Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea and vaccinate you for Hepatitis B. Pregnancy tests are also available.

To find us enter Oxford Chambers main entrance – then take the lift to the lower ground floor. The service should be sign posted. We have a large waiting area.

Please arrive to register at 3.45pm if you can – we can’t register people before that and we can only test the first twenty people, so late arrivals might not get tested.

City-Wise:

This is a young people’s clinic which has youth workers and nurses on site and is our only service open Saturdays. It offers free Chlamydia testing, free pregnancy testing and free condoms (C-Card). It offers all different types of contraception including emergency contraception and also long acting contraception such as implants, IUDs etc. All these services are FREE.

For an appointment call 0113 295 4820 or just drop in during clinic times (appointments are not needed).

GP (General Practice)

All GPs can do a number of STI Tests; simply make an appointment with your GP. Results normally take a few days to come back (up to a week). Usual tests available include Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, HIV – they can also diagnose many other infections and refer you to the Centre for Sexual Health.

If you do decide to use your GP for a test the result will appear on your medical records. If you wish to keep this result private please see the services below.

Testing Times – Rapid Community HIV Testing

This service offers rapid testing for HIV on a drop in basis. This means you can get the result within an hour (but normally within 20 minutes).

This service operates from various venues in local communities. It has two clinics a week:

• Tuesday: targeting the African Community – Call 0113 307 0300 (Black Health Initiative)
