The Leeds Centre for Sexual Health (listed under the all age’s section of this page) is the NHS GUM service for Leeds. This is a specialist service for all your sexual health needs. The Centre for Sexual Health is based at Leeds General Infirmary.

This is a clinic specialising in providing sexual health services. The service includes investigation and treatment of all sexually transmitted infections including HIV/AIDS. Sexual health advice, information, education and counselling available. Confidential service. No age limit.
The Appointment line is open between 9:00 – 16:30 Mon – Fri

Walk In Sessions (no appointment needed)
No appointment is necessary for the Walk-In but patients will allocated a time on a first come, first served basis as there is a limited number of patients we can see. Please note you could have to wait for an appointment for between 2 to 3 hours Patients are advised to arrive half an hour before the start of the daily session to secure a place.
Anyone who arrives after the clinic is full will be advised of alternatives if they speak to a member of the Reception team.

This is a young people’s clinic which has youth workers and nurses on site and is our only service open Saturdays. It offers free Chlamydia testing, free pregnancy testing and free condoms (C-Card). It offers all different types of contraception including emergency contraception and also long acting contraception such as implants, IUDs etc. All these services are FREE.

All GPs can do a number of STI Tests; simply make an appointment with your GP. Results normally take a few days to come back (up to a week). Usual tests available include Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, HIV – they can also diagnose many other infections and refer you to the Centre for Sexual Health.
If you do decide to use your GP for a test the result will appear on your medical records. If you wish to keep this result private please see the services below.

This service offers rapid testing for HIV on a drop in basis. This means you can get the result within an hour (but normally within 20 minutes).
