h2. National HIV Testing Week
2014 sees the 3rd year National HIV Testing Week. The aim of the week is to try and encourage people accross Leeds to take a HIV Test within one of the many community based HIV testing sessions across the City
We are inparticularly encouraging people from Black African Communities and Men that have sex with men (MSM) to take a test, as we know that people from these communities are at greater risk of HIV transmission if they engage in unprotected sex.
Sessions are being hosted across the city offering Fast, Free, Confidential HIV Testing ‘Leeds Centre for Sexual Health will be offering free and confidential HIV testing throughout HIVTW during usual opening hours. Anyone who wants an HIV test can either book an appoitment or attend a walk-in clinic. See below for session times.

Leeds Centre for Sexual Health (GUM)
This is a clinic specialising in providing sexual health services. The service includes investigation and treatment of all sexually transmitted infections including HIV/AIDS. Sexual health advice, information, education and counselling available. Confidential service. No age limit.
Now offering HIV Fast testing to all service users (if requested). This means you will recieve your results the same day/during your appointment
The Appointment line is open between 9.00- 16:30 Mon – Fri

Walk In Sessions (no appointment needed)
No appointment is necessary for the Walk-In but patients will allocated a time on a first come, first served basis as there is a limited number of patients we can see. Please note you could have to wait for an appointment for between 2 to 3 hours Patients are advised to arrive half an hour before the start of the daily session to secure a place.
Anyone who arrives after the clinic is full will be advised of alternatives if they speak to a member of the Reception team.

MESMAC Testing Times
Free, rapid, confidential drop-in HIV testing service
Every Tuesday & Thursday 6pm – 8pm

This award winning testing service is pre-dominantly aimed at Gay, Bisexual or MSM communities although others can access services (open to all people 16 years and over).

The Armley Men’s Sexual Health Clinic
Free and confidential sexual health checks, get tested for all STIs including HIV.
Every Tuesday, from 12 noon to 3pm (last service user seen at 2.30pm)
Results back within two weeks.
Occasionally some weekend testing events are available
