HIV Support Services
In Leeds we have two services which help support people living with HIV. Support is available free of charge for anyone effected by HIV, this includes family and carers. Both services are located in the City Centre – please contact them for further details.
Leeds Skyline (commissioned by Leeds PCT)
Support and prevention service for people living with, at risk of and affected by HIV in Leeds.
This service provides support for all people, families and carers living in Leeds who are affected by HIV. We provide one-to-one support for anybody newly diagnosed with HIV and our support workers will meet with people in hospital, their own homes and community settings. We give on-going support for those living with HIV.
Our staff and volunteers provide advocacy and help on:
- Treatment
- Counselling
- Nutrition to support improved wellbeing
We can refer people for specialist advice on issues including:
- Welfare rights
- Housing
- Immigration
We provide access to a range of complimentary therapies. The service provides a safe and welcoming drop-in space for anybody affected by HIV in a newly converted city-centre base. We have facilities for service users to be able to drop in with children.
